I started my journey in the party industry at just 17 as a face painter, with a modest kit, a table, and a chair — practising on my sisters and the children in my neighbourhood. I would even offer free party setups just so I could practice, and I loved every moment of it. Watching children’s faces light up with butterflies, glitter, and colourful designs, and seeing proud parents celebrate their little one hitting a milestone, filled me with joy and motivated me to keep going. Back then, I had nothing but passion. I didn’t have a van, a phone line, a website, stock, or much experience. Before I even had my license, my mum would drive me to and from parties. I saved every penny I earned from jobs and small face-painting gigs, and eventually bought our first party van — a 2008 Toyota Hiace High Roof. That van became the beginning of a beautiful journey. I worked from the bottom up, learning every aspect of the business myself. I started importing and custom designing props, learning the art of foam prop-making, experimenting with epoxy and painting, and investing in a foam melting kit. I partnered with foam and decal companies, perfected balloon artistry through course after course, and slowly built a team of skilled face painters and stylists. Every small step taught me something new about creating magical parties and running a small business. As a single mother of two beautiful children, I understand firsthand how much our kids mean to us. I know how important it is that every detail of a party is perfect — that vendors show up on time, deliver what they promise, and make the experience seamless. That’s what Kids Party Mania is all about: stress-free, fully styled, and beautifully executed celebrations that create lasting memories. We’re a small business, and I still wear many hats — admin, stylist, driver, installer, and delivery person. I genuinely love every single setup we do because I know there’s a happy child on the other side, and I get to be part of delivering that joy. From humble beginnings to thousands of parties across Sydney, the journey of Kids Party Mania has been built on passion, creativity, and a love for seeing families celebrate life’s most magical moments.
